5‧18 Memorial Foundation-Hanshin University Mutual Cooperation Agreement Ceremony

The 5‧18 Memorial Foundation (Chairman Won Soon-seok) signed a business agreement with Hanshin University (President Kang Seong-young) to promote the spirit of the 5‧18 Democratic Movement on Wednesday, May 24, at 3:00 p.m. at the 5‧18 Memorial Foundation's Owol Memory Storage.

Kang Seong-young (President of Hanshin University) said that he hopes that we can remember 5‧18 and stand in front of history as peace and democracy are threatened. In response, Won Soon-seok (Chairman of the 5‧18 Memorial Foundation) said that the establishment of the 5‧18 Research Institute for Justice, Peace, and Life at Hanshin University, following the 5‧18 Research Institute at Chonnam National University, is of great significance. Park Sang-kyu (former president of Hanshin University), who was an instrumental figure in the establishment of the 5‧18 Research Institute for Justice, Peace, and Life at Hanshin University, said that institutions that are leading the way for transitional justice in Korean society are striving to keep the spirit of May alive, which is in line with the purpose of establishing Hanshin University and his own calling. 

The two institutions pledged their efforts and mutual support to promote interaction and cooperation, including ▲ educational culture, academic research, and domestic and international exchanges to inherit the spirit of May 18 ▲ use of space and human exchanges between the two institutions ▲ other public interest activities and cooperative projects for the development of both institutions.
