The 5‧18 International Research Institute, an academic research institute under the 5‧18 Memorial Foundation, is openly recruiting steering committee members/editors of the 5‧18 International Research Institute to advise on the overall operation of the 5‧18 International Research Institute and its publications in order to build a foundation for 5‧18 research and spread 5‧18 research internationally.

4. Recruitment Methods and Timeline

• Among those who do not fall under the disqualification reasons, the candidates will be selected based on their expertise and activity performance.

A. Any disadvantages caused by false information or mistakes, failure to submit required documents, etc. are the responsibility of the applicant, and the information cannot be modified.
B. If there are no qualified candidates, the appointment may not be made.
C. Insufficient personnel may be appointed upon recommendation of the 5‧18 Memorial Foundation Board of Directors.
D. Submitted application documents will not be returned.
E. The appointment will be canceled in the following cases
• When the submitted documents are false
• Failure to submit the required documents within the specified deadline without justifiable reasons
• If the appointment was made through irregularities such as improper solicitation, pressure, or given provision of property benefits by the person or other closely related person (the person will not be appointed for five years from the date the appointment is canceled).
F. The criteria for prohibited persons in Chapter 3, Article 23 of the Foundation's Personnel Regulations are as follows.
• Minor guardians and limited guardians
• Those who have been declared bankrupt and have not been rehabilitated
• Persons who have been sentenced to a term of imprisonment or higher and three years have not elapsed since the execution of the sentence has ended or it has been determined that the sentence will not be executed.
• A person who has received a sentence of imprisonment or more and two years have not elapsed from the date of completion of the probationary period.
• A person who has received a suspended sentence of imprisonment or more and is in the period of suspended sentence.
• Disqualified or suspended by a court ruling
• Military conscientious objector or deserter from military service
• Dismissed from a previous job for misbehavior
• A person who has been disciplined or dismissed from employment for misconduct.
• Persons falling under Article 82 of the Act on the Establishment and Operation of the Anti-Corruption and National Rights and Interests Commission (Restrictions on Employment of Non-Exempt Persons), etc.
