5‧18 Memorial Foundation is to conduct research on values of democracy‧human rights‧peace and with purposes of spreading 5‧18 spirits

on this forum, It is to take opinions from citizens of gwangju, and conduct surveys online

The topic presentation will be given by Seung-yong Oh, CEO of Kingpin Policy Research (PhD in Political Science). The designated discussion will be led by ▲Ahn Pyung-hwan, a member of the Gwangju Metropolitan City Council, ▲Park Kyung-seop, director of the Regional Public Policy Research Institute (Ph.D. in anthropology), ▲Park Kang-bae, a member of the Gwangju Cultural Foundation, and ▲Lim Soo-jeong, a representative of Gwangju Women's Call.

The presentation and discussion will be chaired by Professor Park Koo-yong of the Department of Philosophy.

In the open discussion that follows, relevant research organizations and citizens will share their opinions on the development direction of the 5‧18 Institute. In addition, the 5‧18 Institute will share the progress of the 5‧18 Institute's operations with citizens at this forum.

The opinions expressed at the forum will be reflected in the upcoming study on 'Establishing a Master Plan for the Operation of the 5-18 International Institute' (conducted by the Korea Institute for Democracy and Peace Studies, Chosun University), and the contents of the discussion will be compiled into a post-forum document and made available on the website of the 5‧18 Memorial Foundation International Institute.
